Meet Jackie

Have I got a story for you...

To end up in this line of work, there’s gotta be a story, right?

You can’t exactly study this stuff at uni.

Mine kicks off in sunny Perth, where I had an incredible childhood. I spent every spare second at my local dance studio, falling in love with movement, technique and creativity. So it came as no surprise to anyone that I soon had my sights set of performing.

At 17 years old, I ran away with the circus (with my parents' blessing). That wild chapter lit the spark. I knew I needed to explore more, so I packed my bags and headed east to chase bigger stages in Sydney.

Sydney became home for eight years, and during that time, I threw myself into the world of performing- dancing, acting, and modelling - landing multiple international contracts and chasing a not-so-9-to-5 kinda dream.

In the background though, something else was taking shape.

While in Sydney, I studied a Bachelor of Music- theatre major, and somewhere between lectures, auditions, and relentless Do-Re-Mis I stumbled into the world of voiceover. The second I heard my voice bounce back through the headphones I thought:

wait... this kinda soul-shaking cool!

But I had tunnel vision for a career in dance and theatre. So I let it be a passing moment, rather than a new pathway to explore and I no idea just how important voiceovers would become.

After a good few years of professional dance and cabaret contracts, I felt the pull for change. I sold almost everything, zipped up a 30L backpack, and set off solo backpacking across Europe and the UK. No plans, just curiosity, and a willingness to live out of that tiny bag for as long as I could stretch my savings.

It was during that trip, somewhere between hostel beds and train stations, that the idea of a career pivot really started to form.

I booked my flight home directly into a city I'd never been to before... Brisbane.

Jet-lagged but stoked to be home, I was ready something new...

Since then, SEQ has become home.

I finally found my way back behind a mic (and yep, still popping up in front of a camera), and these days I’m a full-time presenter, voiceover artist and model. I’m known for being chill to work with, quick on the tools, and always fully committing to getting the shot.

Most days you’ll find me talking to myself in a dark room, presenting straight to camera, delivering scripts with energy, clarity and a good dose of heart. Basically, I help brands sound human and look sharp— and have a laugh while we’re at it.

You might’ve also spotted me in a few modelling campaigns around Australia.
(Mum and Dad collects the clippings. It’s adorable.)
